The weAltura Academy brings together outdoor athletes, explorers and guides for immersive, hands-on learning experiences in the mountains. Across multiple locations and disciplines, our academies combine structured training, real terrain and a shared community. Designed to help you progress safely, confidently, and intentionally. Each academy is built around small groups, expert guidance and meaningful time on the mountain. Complemented by community moments, shared logistics and curated local knowledge.
Choose your Alpine level
The weAltura Academy offers clearly defined alpine levels to help you choose the experience best suited to your background and objectives. Alpine levels focus on movement, safety, and decision-making in mountainous terrain, ranging from introductory experiences to highly technical objectives.
Beginner clinics
Skill Level
Participants approaching alpine terrain for the first time, or with limited prior experience in mountaineering or technical alpine environments.
Educational Focus
Introduction to alpine movement, basic rope techniques, and essential safety principles. Emphasis on understanding terrain, conditions, and foundational decision-making in the mountains.
Expectations
Participants should have good physical fitness and be comfortable moving on uneven terrain. No prior alpine climbing experience is required.
Intermediate clinics
Skill Level
Participants with previous alpine or mountaineering experience who are comfortable on exposed terrain and looking to refine their skills.
Educational Focus
Develop efficient movement on rock, snow, and ice, improve rope management, and build confidence in route choice and situational awareness.
Expectations
Participants should have prior experience in alpine environments and be comfortable with basic rope systems and moderate exposure.
Advanced clinics
Skill Level
Experienced alpinists seeking to progress in complex, technical, or committing alpine terrain.
Educational Focus
Advanced movement techniques, efficient systems, and high-level decision-making in demanding alpine conditions. Focus on autonomy, efficiency, and safety in serious terrain.
Expectations
Strong alpine experience is required, including confidence on steep, exposed terrain and familiarity with technical systems used in advanced mountaineering.
Choose your on Snow level
Snow levels at the weAltura Academy focus on movement, technique and safety in winter and snow-covered terrain. These levels apply to freeride, ski touring and winter travel experiences, helping participants choose clinics that match both their technical ability and mountain awareness.
Beginner clinics
Skill Level
Participants with little to no experience in off-piste or backcountry snow environments.
Educational Focus
Introduction to off-piste movement, snow awareness, and foundational safety concepts. Focus on building confidence and control in non-groomed terrain.
Expectations
Participants should be comfortable skiing or riding on black slopes within a resort environment and have a basic level of physical fitness.
Intermediate clinics
Skill Level
Participants with prior off-piste or touring experience who are comfortable in variable snow conditions.
Educational Focus
Refine technique in different snow types, improve efficiency during ascent and descent, and strengthen terrain assessment and group management skills.
Expectations
Participants should be confident off-piste, capable of skiing or riding in variable conditions, and fit enough for sustained efforts in the mountains.
Advanced clinics
Skill Level
Experienced freeriders or ski tourers aiming to progress in steep, technical, or complex winter terrain.
Educational Focus
Advanced techniques for managing steep slopes, complex snow conditions, and challenging objectives. Strong emphasis on decision-making, efficiency, and safety.
Expectations
Extensive off-piste or touring experience is required, including confidence on steep terrain and the ability to operate safely in demanding winter conditions.
Clinic registrations
Registration happens after purchase.
Once confirmed, you’ll receive access to a dedicated WhatsApp group with your guide or athlete, other participants and weAltura team, where all pre-clinic communication and updates will take place.

The Academy takes place in a mountain environment during different season, so expect changeable weather. Please dress accordingly to the season.
